Her focus is first on others, though. By serving God, she not only helps Elisha, she honors her husband and raises her son. She probably had things she wanted to do herself, but she knew that could come later.
She knew in her heart what the Holy Spirit would inspire Paul to write later, in Romans 12:1.
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”
