The idea of freedom of religion is very strong in this country. That should help, but one religion is under sharp attack – Christianity.
You know how to tell it’s demonic. Nobody uses any other name but Jesus to curse. People don’t dare attack other religions’ books the way they do the Bible. Any other religion seems to get fair play in the media. But, Christian love is twisted, and Jesus is not respected by our culture.
So, using that argument – and support from the American Center for Law and Justice – you can gain religious freedom. However, it doesn’t pay to win an argument and have the person wind up unsaved. And, you run that risk if you argue too much. That’s why you must let the Lord guide you in how to talk to people about Him. You need to show that Jesus has changed you on the inside. And, because He has changed you, you have peace, hope, comfort, and so on no matter what.
That certainty is something others can’t offer. They can only offer the possibility even if you do something. Only Christianity offers the certainty of Heaven by simple faith in what Jesus Christ did. Only Christians serve a risen, living Savior, who is personal and always tender and loving. He must punish sin, but He is always willing to forgive. That is what such people must hear. It is all-inclusive. All a person must do is receive it. Every other religion makes people do something. When you become born again, though, it is Jesus who does all the work inside of you.
