iii. Shunammite’s faith was the victory

We don’t know if her husband ever became a believer. However, we do know that she had great faith. She probably prayed often for her husband. But, the real victory was in her faith itself. She kept the faith, and likely taught it to her son, despite all these problems. This is something you can do, too.

You might or might not have any of the advantages the Shunammite woman did. You might struggle with poverty, or freedom, or something else, all of which we will get to soon. However, it’s important to realize that faith is “the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1) By keeping the faith that God is good, and He will be there to help you as a shepherd, you can come away a winner. Even if you can’t lead that parent or guardian to Christ, by having faith, you will have had the triumph that God wants you to have.
