There will always be people who are sick, disabled, or just too old to work. That’s why the Bible doesn’t stop with a warning to former thieves that they shouldn’t steal any more, but work. It goes on to say that those who have should be able to give to those who don’t have anything. (Eph. 4:28) This isn’t a forced giving, this is giving out of Christian love, to someone who truly doesn’t have what they need.
There are people, however, who would rather take things – or worse. How can you, as a spiritual leader, overcome that obstacle, and not only keep people’s spirits up, but keep them from getting involved with such people.
