Never let anyone tell you you’re too young to be used by God, to be part of His team. I read once of a three-year-old who was used.
It was something really little. His mom and dad had a big argument. This boy simply recited the rules he’d always heard them tell him. He said things like, “You need to be nice. That hurt his/her feelings. You need to say you’re sorry.” The couple realized they were getting too heated. They made up, and everything was fine.
Now, that three-year-old hadn’t mastered the arts of politeness, respect, and humility. But, he was old enough to know the rules. He knew rules applied to everyone. He had not fallen for the lie of thinking rules didn’t apply past a certain age. That’s a lie that the devil uses to get people to sin at times.
You’re old enough to read – I guess that’s obvious, huh? You can do a lot more than recite rules. You can be used like the Shunammite woman was. You can be used to build a home dedicated to God, even if some in your family don’t want to go along. You could also help someone else to do the same in their family.
If you’re a young person, you may even have siblings or cousins who are counting on you. Whoever you are, you can have peace, you can help your family run more smoothly, and you can build great rewards. You can be great, like her.
