The Book of Hebrews, in the New Testament, says Jesus is a high priest forever. And, He was tempted in all ways like us. (Heb. 4:15) While that verse’s meaning is that he suffered so much, and yet never sinned, the fact that He went through so much can also teach us something very important. That is, that Jesus understands.
Of course, He didn't' feel the exact same thing each of us feel. But, while He was never tempted to play video games instead of dong His chores, He knew what it was like to have a lot of chores. Each of the things you go through, He went through. So, as that great High Priest, He stands before God. He is always arguing on your behalf, if you are saved. He is saying, “I suffered and bled and died for that person. Their sins were placed upon Me when I hung on the cross.
That is the great miracle of what God did for you. He knows what you are going through. He can give you comfort, strength, and hope, plus whatever else you need. However, remember that he is God. He did come in the flesh, but He will always be god. So, we must approach Him differently than a normal person.
