This is the “Hallowed be Thy name” part. It is also the part dealing with letting God’s will be done. Because, part of that is adoring Him. That means an intense love, which winds up in worship when it is used to describe God.
This shouldn’t be our entire prayer. It’s more of the attitude our prayers should have. We should realize that God doesn’t have to hear us. He could ignore us and He’d be within His rights. We are so far below His perfection, it’s impossible to describe. It would be like an ant wanting to talk to a person.
Of course, you can mention how awesome God is. You can talk about how He created everything, and so on. That is good. The point here is, don’t overdo it. Would you really want someone who told you, 24 hours a day, that you were the greatest thing ever, and didn’t have any substance to it? Most people would get tired of that very fast. God wants our prayer to have substance, too.
