What’s the difference between the world that God so loved that He gave his only begotten Son (John 3:16) and this “world”? This world refers to the world’s system. It’s a system that has ignored God, and – at times – tried to eliminate Him.
There are numerous obstacles here that we discussed elsewhere. Culture, for instance; there is diversity in Christ, but Jesus must still be recognized as God. Love of things, money, and so on was also discussed, and shown to be wrong. We need to depend on God to provide our needs. Money is important, but it should never be the driving force bethind whatever we do. The list in Philippians 4:8 also helps us to void this system in a small way, though that deals more with lusts.
However there are still a few important things to mention about this obstacle.
